Rum Don Papa, unlike the "classic" rums, is a distillate produced with quality raw materials grown in the Philippine Islands. The sugar cane is in fact cultivated in the fertile soil near the volcano of Mount Kanlaon.
After a careful and accurate craftsmanship of the sugar cane, a distillation follows in a workmanlike manner under the careful supervision of expert Master Distillers; the best noble woods are also selected for the refinement.
In detail, this Rum comes inaged for at least 7 years, this helps to determine the wonderful bright amber color of this spirits.
The nose reveals light fruity notes of quince and dates, wonderfully mixed with spicy nuances of vanilla and honey, hints of toasted hazelnut and milk chocolate.
Pairing it with cola to give life to the well-known Coca & Rum pairing is certainly a guarantee, but savoring it alone is just as special. When tasted it gives a round and soft sip, which evolves into a long and very pleasant hint of apple jam.
