S.W. Churchill is a famous Champagne from the Pol Roger house, one of the most prestigious names in the French Champagne region. This vintage represents the elegance and refinement typical of the terroir of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, where the classic Champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, express their full potential. The special attention to grape selection and traditional vinification with double fermentation in the bottle ensure a fine and persistent perlage, a sign of the long maturation on the lees.

In appearance, S.W. Churchill presents a bright golden color with delicate greenish reflections that hint at freshness and complexity. On the nose, refined aromas of ripe white fruit, bread crust, and yeast explode, followed by hints of almond and white flowers. On the palate, the structure is harmonious and enveloping, with a perfect balance between acidity, sapidity, and softness, offering an elegant and nuanced gustatory persistence.

Ideal to accompany dishes based on fine fish, shellfish, or even delicate white meat preparations, it is a champagne that enhances celebratory moments thanks to its extraordinary quality and complexity. A true tribute to the tradition and savoir-faire of Pol Roger.

Winery history
Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger, the house moved to Épernay in the early 1850s and is still managed by the family's descendants. During the 20th century the house consolidated its reputation, forging a historic link with Winston Churchill and developing a network of estate vineyards complemented by supplies selected from Grands e Premiers Crus. In recent decades the house has renovated its cellars and refreshed its image while maintaining traditional winemaking practices and long cellar aging.
Production philosophy
Pol Roger focuses on stylistic consistency and grape quality: separate vinifications by cru and variety, predominant use of steel and concrete, extended time on the lees and traditional riddling. Grape selection favors high-quality crus to preserve elegance, structure and finesse.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in Épernay, it sources grapes from its own vineyards and from growers in the main Champagne areas, including Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The Maison uses grapes from selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites.
