The Sangiovese di Romagna Rubicaia DOC by Caviro is born in a renowned area like Romagna, where the hills offer the ideal terroir for this indigenous grape variety, a symbol of central Italy. Vigorous and versatile, Sangiovese expresses in this version a balance between freshness and structure, the result of careful winemaking and moderate aging in steel tanks that preserves the aromatic intensity. On the nose, it opens with scents of cherry, ripe red fruits, and slight spicy notes, which are found on the palate accompanied by a soft tannic texture and a pleasant sapidity. The Rubicaia pairs elegantly with traditional local dishes, such as pasta with meat ragù or grilled red meat main courses, enhancing every dish with its freshness. An accessible and sincere red, representative of Romagna’s wine identity.
