In the warmth of the Maremma this Sangiovese from Tenuta Sassoregale presents a direct, honest profile: ripe red fruits fade into floral violet notes and a hint of Mediterranean aromatic herbs. The sip is immediate but well balanced; acidity keeps the drinking lively while the tannins, clear but not aggressive, outline a texture that supports the body without weighing it down. The structure is balanced, with a persistence that brings back the same fruity echoes and a slight saline note on the finish. The color is light ruby, bright. There is also a subtle hint of black pepper that makes the profile more intriguing.

At the table it shows versatility: it stands up to meat dishes, savory sauces and semi-aged cheeses, but is equally enjoyable with mushroom dishes or grilled vegetables. Served at a moderate temperature it highlights freshness and tannic texture; it can be appreciated both young and after a few years of bottle aging. A Sangiovese of the territory, candid in character and gratifying on the palate.
