In the glass it shows a bright, youthful ruby color, a vibrancy that introduces a direct and honest Sangiovese. The aromas recall cherry and red fruits, with slightly floral nuances and a hint of Mediterranean spice; it’s not heavy, but shows good definition and aromatic lift. The palate is savory and supported by lively acidity, the tannins are present but well integrated, offering a clean texture and immediate drinkability. The finish is pleasant without being austere, ideal for those seeking a red with character but not overly opulent.

Colle del Gelso delivers a measured style, suitable both for the everyday table and for traditional dishes: gnocchi with ragù, tomato sauces, grilled meats and semi-aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18 °C to appreciate the freshness and aromatic richness; it also benefits from a short oxygenation in a decanter if you wish to further soften the tannins. A Sangiovese that speaks clearly, capable of accompanying the meal with balance and charm.
