Primarily made with Chenin Blanc grapes, with additions of Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, the Saumur Loire Brut presents a light straw color with bright reflections and fine bubbles that form a persistent mousse. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of white flowers, green apple, and citrus notes, enhanced by nuances of toasted bread and yeast, thanks to the traditional winemaking method used, akin to that of Champagne.
On the palate, the Saumur Loire Brut offers a fresh attack and beautifully balanced acidity. Flavors of fresh fruit, such as pear and peach, blend with mineral tones and a slight creaminess that makes each sip complex and enveloping.
