Historic estate located in Bátaapáti in the Völgység district. Declared vineyard area: approximately 170 hectares; elevation around 200 m. Cultivation of both local and international grape varieties: Kékfrankos, Hárslevelű, Riesling, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, etc. Production is organized into lines: Classic, Rarities and ICON. Revival and international collaboration from the 1990s onward, involving foreign producers.
Winery history
The estate is a historic property in the Tolna area: the official website dates its origins to the late 18th century and notes that, after a long period under local families, international attention arrived in the early 1990s. In subsequent years the project was supported by figures connected to international winemaking families; from the late 1990s/early 2000s, technical management saw the direct involvement of Italian entities in the estate's revival.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the character of the varietals grown on its estate, emphasizing winemaking that highlights varietal identity and targeted selections for its most prized ranges.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's vineyards are situated in the hills of the Völgység district in the Tolna wine region, with vineyard plots around Bátaapáti and additional vineyards in areas near Mórágy and Mőcsény. The average elevation is approximately 200 metres above sea level.
