The Sauvignon IGT from Kante winery is a refined and distinctively regional expression of the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. Originating from the Friuli Venezia Giulia area, this wine is the result of meticulous care in the selection of grapes and winemaking, distinctive traits of Kante's work.

Visually, this Sauvignon presents itself with a light straw yellow color, dotted with greenish reflections that emphasize its freshness. The bouquet is enchanting with intense aromas: from green pepper, typical of the grape variety, to more delicate and floral notes like elderflower and passionflower, accompanied by a slight scent of freshly cut grass that invites tasting.

On the palate, the Sauvignon IGT from Kante reveals its balanced and well-defined structure. The attack is lively, characterized by a fresh acidity that evolves into a medium-full palate where the minerality blends harmoniously with flavors of white-fleshed fruits, green apple, and a light citrus note. The finish is long and persistently aromatic, leaving a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and freshness.

Ideally served chilled, at about 8-10°C, this wine pairs beautifully with fish dishes, particularly on delicate recipes like ceviche or carpaccio. It is also an excellent companion for light appetizers and aromatic salads, where its acidic and fruity profile can truly shine, elevating the gastronomic experience.

A distinct choice for those seeking a Sauvignon with personality and character, while at the same time reflecting the unique terroir in which it was born. A wine that invites to discover the complexity and elegance of the Sauvignon Blanc interpreted through the savoir-faire of Kante.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
