The Savennières Les Caillardières is a French white wine that surprises with its complexity and depth. Produced in the Loire region, this label is the result of a rigorous selection of Chenin Blanc grapes, renowned for their ability to faithfully reflect their terroir of origin.

With a bright golden yellow hue, it opens on the nose with intense aromas of white-fleshed fruits, such as apple and pear, followed by nuances of white flowers and mineral touches reminiscent of flint. On the palate, the Savennières Les Caillardières exhibits extraordinary acidic freshness, a beautiful structure, and impressive length. Notes of honey and a slight toasting add complexity to the palate, making this wine an excellent choice to pair with rich fish dishes or aged cheeses.

It rests in the bottle for several months before being marketed to ensure the perfect integration of all its elements. A white that, if properly aged, can show a surprising evolution, gaining in expressiveness and minerality.

Winery history
The site of Château des Vaults has been documented since 1495; the property was managed for generations by families associated with the Las Cases and was more recently transformed into Domaine du Closel by Michèle de Jessey, with Evelyne de Pontbriand taking over management in 2001. This historical evolution underpins the estate's identity.
Production philosophy
Respect for the landscape, biodiversity and the expression of the terroir is a priority: the vineyard is farmed organically and has adopted a biodynamic approach, with the aim of minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery so the wines' personality can emerge.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is located in the Savennières appellation: vineyards on hillsides and "coulées" with complex subsoils that impart minerality and longevity to the wines.
