The Soave Classico "Monte Alto" DOC by Cà Rugate is a sublime expression of Venetian winemaking tradition, produced exclusively with Garganega grapes. This white wine comes from the vineyards situated on the hills of Monteforte d'Alpone, the most prestigious area of Soave Classico, where the volcanic soil contributes to the wine's minerality and complexity.

The maturation in stainless steel and a small portion in barriques allows the Soave Classico "Monte Alto" by Cà Rugate to develop a unique aromatic profile, with pleasant notes of white flowers, peach, and subtle hints of almond. This wine is distinguished by its balanced structure and palatal freshness, where the minerality plays a key role in extending the tasting pleasure.

On the palate, "Monte Alto" offers a pleasant sensation of softness, balanced by a lively acidity that invites another sip. The elegance and longevity are further enhanced by the integrity of the fruit and the finesse of the winemaking methodologies.

Ideal as an aperitif, the Soave Classico "Monte Alto" pairs beautifully with fish dishes, white meats, sushi, and tempura, as well as a variety of fresh cheeses. To fully enjoy its qualities, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 8-10°C.

This wine is not only an excellent gastronomic accompaniment but also represents a refined choice for those wishing to explore the richness and diversity of the Veneto territory through its most iconic wine.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
