The Soave Classico Monte Alto DOC MAGNUM by Cà Rugate represents excellence in the panorama of Venetian white wines. This wine stands out for its refined balance and complex structure, wrapping the palate with a palette of unique sensations.

Produced exclusively with Garganega grapes, the Soave Classico Monte Alto is vinified with great care. The grapes come from the volcanic hills of Monteforte d'Alpone, where the soil rich in basalt and volcanic tuffs imparts distinctive mineral notes and a lively freshness to the wine. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a short maceration and a fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by aging in steel barrels to preserve the aromatic purity and freshness of the wine.

Visually, it presents a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, the Monte Alto DOC reveals a rich and intensely aromatic bouquet, with notes of white-fleshed fruits such as peach and melon, enriched by nuances of white flowers and a subtle almond aftertaste. On the palate, the wine expresses a great harmony between acidity and minerality, which continues into a persistent and pleasantly almond-like finish.

This MAGNUM format is particularly suitable for special occasions, ensuring a better evolution of the wine and a presentation of great impact. Ideal to be served at a temperature of 8-10°C, the Soave Classico Monte Alto DOC pairs beautifully with delicate fish dishes, light appetizers, or as an elegant aperitif.

A sublime expression of the Soave territory, the Soave Classico Monte Alto DOC by Cà Rugate is a prestigious choice for those seeking a white wine that combines tradition, terroir, and refined winemaking execution.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
