The Alta Langa Extra Brut DOCG Spumante by Massimo Rivetti Winery embodies a refined and sophisticated expression of the Piedmontese terroir. Produced according to the traditional method, this cuvée is made from a rigorous selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, which give the wine an elegant structure and lasting freshness.

The color is a very delicate straw yellow with greenish reflections, bright and lively thanks to the fine bubbles that create a persistent and lovely perlage. On the nose, it unfolds a complex aromatic mix that intertwines notes of fresh fruit, such as green apple and citrus, with hints of white flowers and subtle accents of toasted bread, a result of at least 36 months of bottle aging.

On the palate, the Alta Langa Extra Brut reveals itself to be intense yet harmonious, with a tart freshness balanced by a subtle creaminess. The finish is long and clean, with an aftertaste reminiscent of bread crust and citrus notes, a hallmark of careful winemaking.

Ideal as an aperitif, this sparkling wine also pairs beautifully with raw or lightly cooked fish dishes, crustaceans and shellfish, as well as fresh and delicate cheeses. A wine that celebrates special occasions and adds a touch of elegance to every tasting moment.

With the Alta Langa Extra Brut DOCG by Massimo Rivetti, a piece of Piedmont is brought to the table, a region known for its enological excellences, where history, tradition, and innovation meet to create wines of unmatched quality.

Winery history
The Rivetti family has been active in the Neive area for several generations. The estate traces its roots in the town back to 1873 and maintains a family winemaking tradition passed down over time. The vineyard plots historically owned by the family are clustered around several farmsteads, and the winery is located on the Serraboella hill, renowned for Barbaresco production.
Production philosophy
Production focused on respect for nature: the estate cultivates its vineyards using organic methods and promotes sustainable practices in the winery. Manual harvesting is carried out and techniques to preserve biodiversity and grape quality are employed; company communications also highlight the use of recyclable packaging and the adoption of measures for energy sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Neive, Langhe. The estate's vineyards are distributed around several farmsteads owned by the company — Froi, Garassino, Palazzina and Bussolino — with exposures well suited to Nebbiolo and Barbaresco.
