Tenuta Rapitalà’s “Maritari” Syrah is a balanced, full-bodied Sicilian red with marked freshness, capable of expressing the authentic character of its grape variety to the fullest.

It is made from vineyards trained using the traditional Guyot system in western Sicily, where the Syrah grapes are harvested between August and September. Vinification takes place in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with 7-10 days of maceration on the skins designed to extract excellent structure while preserving the primary aromatic profile. To maintain the fruit’s purity and characteristics, the entire aging process takes place exclusively in stainless steel.

In the glass, it displays a bright ruby-red color enhanced by violet highlights. The nose offers an elegant, characteristic bouquet in which fruity aromas of blackberries and redcurrants blend harmoniously with the grape variety’s distinctive spicy notes. On the palate, it is soft, clean, fresh, and balanced, offering a satisfying sip with an optimal aging potential of up to 3 years.

Ideal with red meat, roasted white meat, and aged cheeses, Maritari is also an excellent complement to ethnic cuisine, pairing perfectly with dishes such as couscous and spicy curry-based recipes.
