Syrah Sicilia DOC Rapitala presents an intense ruby color that invites a full, direct sip. On the nose, ripe dark fruits emerge — blackberry and plum — accompanied by notes of black pepper, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of dark chocolate; the profile remains honest and well defined, without excess. On the palate it shows body and structure, ripe tannins and sufficient freshness to balance the fullness: the sip is enveloping but with good tension that makes it easy to drink and gives a lingering finish.

The warm but not heavy character makes this Syrah suitable for full-flavored dishes; it pairs naturally with grilled meats, hearty stews and aged cheeses, but also stands up well to spicier preparations. Serving temperature around 16-18 °C to appreciate its balance and aromas. Rapitala thus offers a Syrah with a Mediterranean profile, successful in its expression of fruit and the clarity of the sip, suitable both for an informal dinner and for more contemplative moments.

Winery history
The estate was created through the reconstruction undertaken by Hugues Bernard conte de la Gatinais and Gigi Guarrasi after the earthquake in the Valle del Belice. Founded in 1968, the winery has grown by blending indigenous and international grape varieties, maintaining a production approach focused on elegance and a close connection to the territory, now carried forward by the winemaking team listed on the winery's website.

To showcase Sicily’s diverse micro-terroirs through a sustainable, organic approach to viticulture, with the aim of combining the richness of the Mediterranean landscape with the elegance of French savoir‑faire.
