The Terre Cerase "Roccaleoni" PGI by Villa Matilde Avallone is a rosé wine that embodies the winery's dedication to the valorization of the native varieties of the Campania region, interpreted through a modern and sustainable vision of viticulture. Villa Matilde, known for its excellence in the production of wines that reflect the unique character of the Campania terroir, presents with the "Roccaleoni" a distinctive and fascinating expression of the Aglianico grape, used here in a rosé version that enhances its freshness and aroma.

The choice to produce a rosé from Aglianico grapes demonstrates the intent to explore new expressive possibilities for this vine typically used in the production of structured and long-aging reds. In Terre Cerase "Roccaleoni", Aglianico reveals another aspect of its character, giving life to a wine that combines the aromatic richness and tannic complexity typical of the variety with a surprising freshness and drinkability.

The vinification of Terre Cerase "Roccaleoni" follows a careful process that begins with a short cold maceration of the grapes, aimed at extracting color and primary aromas, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature to preserve the integrity and freshness of the aromatic profile. The refinement in steel then helps to maintain the liveliness and purity of the fruit.

Visually, the wine presents a bright and captivating cherry pink color. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of small red fruits, cherries and wild strawberries, enriched by floral accents and a light spiciness that adds depth and invites tasting. In the mouth, "Roccaleoni" surprises with the balance between a fresh acidity and a soft structure, with fruit flavors that are renewed in the sip, leading to a pleasantly persistent and refreshing finish.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with light starters, fish and white meat dishes, the Terre Cerase "Roccaleoni" PGI by Villa Matilde Avallone is an excellent choice for those looking for a rosé wine with character, capable of offering an experience rich and satisfying tasting, which reflects the versatility and quality of the Aglianico grapes in a surprisingly fresh and accessible key.
