Tignanello is a milestone: it is produced with a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc aged for at least 12-14 months in barrique. It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first modern red wine blended with non-traditional varieties (such as Cabernet), and among the first red wines in Chianti Classico not to use white grapes.

In the glass it has a deep ruby red colour. On the nose the scent is intense, elegant and seductive with aromas of spices, wild flowers, leather, white chocolate, tobacco and blackberries. On the palate it is full-bodied and harmonious; the softness of the tannins accompanies the tasting until a long, enveloping and enjoyable finish.

To best savor the sensational taste of this refined and classy wine, we recommend letting the Tignanello 'breathe' at least 1-2 hours before serving it. This red certainly will not disappoint expectations and ensures a drink of quality and excellence, particularly when paired with tasty meat dishes or mature cheeses.
