The Grechetto IGT produced by the prestigious Lungarotti winery is undoubtedly one of the most refined expressions of this native Umbrian variety. Located in the heart of this region, Lungarotti winery is renowned for the high quality of its wines, and the Grechetto is no exception.

This wine stands out for its straw yellow color with greenish highlights, an indication of its freshness. On the nose, Lungarotti's Grechetto reveals an intriguing aromatic bouquet, dominated by floral notes of jasmine and chamomile, enriched by nuances of white-fleshed fruits such as peach and pear. There are also hints of aromatic herbs and a slight minerality that adds olfactory complexity.

On the palate, the wine is fresh and well-balanced, with a lively acidity that supports a pleasing and persistent sip. The flavors reflect the aromatic profile, with a lovely continuity of fruit and flowers, and it concludes with a slightly almondy finish that invites another sip.

Thanks to its versatility, Lungarotti's Grechetto IGT pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. It is ideal as an aperitif, but also perfectly complements fish dishes, light white meats, and fresh cheeses. The wine's ability to combine freshness and structure also makes it an excellent companion for Umbrian cuisine dishes, rich in herbs and local flavors.

This wine not only represents an excellent example of Umbrian viticulture but also demonstrates Lungarotti's commitment to producing wines that respect tradition and the local terroir, offering wine lovers an authentically Umbrian experience.

Winery history
The Lungarotti family produced wine and oil for centuries; the modern enterprise took shape under Giorgio Lungarotti who, from the 1950s–60s, brought together the family estates and began production and wider-scale marketing. Over time the company promoted the local denomination, opened the Museo del Vino and later the Museo dell'Olivo e dell'Olio, established the Fondazione Lungarotti and expanded its holdings to include the Tenuta di Montefalco, where Sagrantino is produced. Management has remained in the family and in recent years has focused on quality, research and sustainability.
