V16 Podium Verdicchio di Jesi Superiore DOC from Garofoli shows a luminous straw-yellow color and an aromatic profile that recalls white flowers, green apple and a delicate note of almond, typical of the variety. In the glass it displays good compactness and freshness; the nose is inviting without being aggressive, and the progression is clean and linear, with a mineral sensation that balances the fruity component and lends clarity to the palate. The whole is balanced and refined, with a precise flavor texture that remains immediate.

On the palate it reveals medium body, lively acidity and a sapidity that supports the wine through to a pleasant persistence; the tannins, if present, are soft and integrated. It’s a versatile Verdicchio, perfect with seafood appetizers, fish-based first courses, shellfish and fresh cheeses, but it also stands up well to white meats and Mediterranean dishes. The finish is fresh, slightly almond-tinged with a saline note; serve at around 10-12 °C in a large white-wine glass to appreciate its tension and balance.

Winery history
La Garofoli is a family-run company that has been part of Marche viticulture for generations. The company's official website presents the business as "Italian estate since 1901" and describes a family history developed over multiple generations; other specialized sources and technical datasheets report references to the family's activity as early as the late 19th century and to commercial production in vintages predating the 1900s. The company subsequently evolved with facilities in Castelfidardo and vinification structures for Verdicchio in the Serra de' Conti area, and expanded its presence with wines from Conero and other local appellations.
