Secondo Marco's Valpolicella Classico DOC is an excellent example that reflects the winery's passion and dedication to preserving and enhancing the winemaking traditions of one of the most famous regions in Italy. Produced in the heart of the classic Valpolicella area, this wine is a tribute to the typicality and quality of the territory.

Visually, the wine has a lively ruby red color, with reflections ranging from purple to garnet depending on the evolution in the bottle. On the nose, Valpolicella Classico offers an intense olfactory experience, dominated by fresh red fruits such as cherries, strawberries and notes of delicate spices such as vanilla and black pepper, all enriched by a light floral touch of rose.

In the mouth, the wine expresses a vibrant freshness, with soft and well-integrated tannins that give a pleasant roundness to the palate. The acidic freshness is balanced and supports the structure of the wine well, which unfolds into a medium-long finish, leaving flavors of red fruit and a discreet spicy persistence.

This Valpolicella Classico is versatile when it comes to food pairings, perfect with Italian appetizers, first courses with meat sauce and second courses of grilled white or red meat. Also excellent with young and semi-mature cheeses, this wine adapts well to both an informal meal and a more formal occasion.

Ultimately, Secondo Marco's Valpolicella Classico DOC is a safe choice for those looking for a wine that authentically represents the winemaking tradition of Valpolicella, offering a tasting experience that is both classic and immediately enjoyable. With its moderate aging potential, it is also a wine that can be enjoyed for a few years in the cellar.

Winery history
Secondo Marco is the personal project of Marco Speri, originated within the historic Speri family and established as an independent winery in 2008. The winery was founded to interpret Valpolicella according to Marco’s vision and taste, with a focus on grape selection and traditional techniques such as grape drying for Amarone.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the character of the terroir through an approach that combines tradition and research: careful vineyard management, hand selection of the bunches, use of appassimento and winemaking focused on preserving sapidity and the grape's aromas. For the Amarone, the winery states long, spontaneous fermentations without added yeasts. The emphasis is on organoleptic quality and territorial identity.
