The Vdf Aligoté Primavera is a fresh and lively white wine, crafted by the renowned winemakers Vincent Giraudon and Romain Paire. This wine is made from Aligoté grapes, a traditional white variety from Burgundy, which in this case fully expresses its aromatic potential. On the nose, it is distinguished by its floral and fresh fruit notes, such as green apple and lemon, with a subtle touch of minerality that adds complexity to the bouquet.

On the palate, the Vdf Aligoté Primavera offers enchanting freshness, with a well-balanced acidity that makes it extremely drinkable and pleasing. Its light and crisp texture is particularly appreciated during the warmer months, ideal to serve as an aperitif or paired with light dishes like seafood salads or caprese with mozzarella and tomatoes.

A true expression of terroir, this wine reflects the artisanal approach and passion of Giraudon and Paire for sustainable viticulture and respect for nature. The winery is committed to working in a way that respects the natural cycle of the vines, ensuring each year a wine of excellent quality that expresses the uniqueness of its territory.

Collaboration on several commercial cuvées. Vineyards on granitic soils in the Côte Roannaise. Vincent Giraudon: winery managed organically. Romain Paire: well-known transition to organic and biodynamic viticulture; a leading figure in the appellation. Winemaking techniques: carbonic maceration, aging in amphorae, wood or tank, and manual harvesting.
Winery history
Vincent Giraudon, trained in viticulture and oenology, began working on half a hectare, alternating vineyard work with a career as a cook before devoting himself fully to winemaking and establishing his winery in Saint‑Alban‑les‑Eaux. On his website he now reports an estate grown to nearly 4 hectares and managed organically. Romain Paire heads Domaine des Pothiers, a family estate in the Côte Roannaise; he is known for converting to organic and biodynamic farming and for the leading role his domaine plays within the appellation. Together they appear in some cuvées marketed jointly.
Production philosophy
Viticultural practices focused on vineyard quality: organic management and a biodynamic approach as practiced by Romain Paire; hand-harvested grapes and low-intervention winemaking that includes carbonic maceration, aging in vats, wood or amphorae depending on the cuvée, and sometimes secondary bottle fermentation for sparkling wines. The approach emphasizes the expression of the granitic soil and the freshness of the fruit.
Terroir and vineyards
Côte Roannaise, Loire Valley. Granite-dominated soils characterize many parcels mentioned for both Vincent Giraudon and Domaine des Pothiers. Labels and technical sheets display designations such as AOC Côte Roannaise, IGP Vin de Pays d'Urfé and Vin de France, depending on the cuvée.
