This Vermentino Costa Toscana IGT from Folonari shows a fresh, linear bouquet with hints of white flowers, citrus and a light herbal note. The colour is pale straw; the olfactory profile moves through grapefruit, cedar and a touch of bitter almond, keeping a balance between fruit and freshness. The aromatic texture remains clean and pleasant, suited to those looking for a ready-to-drink white that still has character.

On the palate it is saline and smooth, with good acidity that supports the finish. It is best served young, at a cool temperature, and pairs naturally with fish dishes, seafood salads and light appetizers; it is also a coherent choice for aperitifs that call for fragrant wines. Also suitable with fresh cheeses and crustacean-based dishes; pairing with Mediterranean cuisine highlights its saline vein without masking its delicacy.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
