The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano "Mezzina" DOCG in 375ml format by Boscarelli is a special selection that contains all the richness and complexity of Sangiovese, known locally as Prugnolo Gentile, grown in the fertile hills of Montepulciano. This wine represents the essence of the winemaking tradition of Boscarelli, a winery that has managed to earn a prominent place among the producers of Vino Nobile thanks to its dedication to quality and loyalty to the terroir.

The "Mezzina" format, corresponding to half a bottle (375ml), is ideal for those who want to enjoy an excellent wine on intimate occasions or for those looking for a smaller portion without giving up the possibility of exploring the complexity of one of the best Tuscan reds.

The vinification of the Vino Nobile "Mezzina" follows Boscarelli's traditional practices, with a careful selection of the best grapes intended for the production of this wine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, to preserve the fruity aromas and freshness of the Sangiovese. Subsequently, the wine matures in oak barriques and tonneaux, where it acquires elegance, structure and spicy notes that integrate harmoniously with the fruit.

Visually, the "Mezzina" has a deep ruby red color, with reflections that tend towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it stands out for a rich and complex bouquet, where notes of ripe red fruits, spices, vanilla and a light balsamic touch emerge, the result of careful maturation in wood.

In the mouth, the wine offers a perfect balance between the robustness of the tannins and lively acidity, characteristics that give the "Mezzina" great drinkability and a pleasantly persistent sip. The flavors of cherry, plum and spice blend into a harmonious texture, leading to a long and satisfying finish.

Perfect to taste in combination with Tuscan cuisine dishes, such as roast meat, game and mature cheeses, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano "Mezzina" DOCG in the 375ml format by Boscarelli is an excellent choice for those looking for an intense and representative of the quality and tradition of Vino Nobile, in a convenient and versatile format.

Winery history
Poderi Boscarelli is a family-run winery born from the passion of the Corradi/De Ferrari family, who relocated to Valdichiana and established roots in the hamlet of Cervognano. Over generations the family has steadily developed production and introduced selections and distinctive wines, including the Riserva "Il Nocio", and has entrusted current management to members of the De Ferrari Corradi family.
Production philosophy
The estate highlights the diversity of soils and clonal selections, harvesting and vinifying vineyard parcels separately and then assembling them into the final blends. This approach is focused on expressing the terroir of Cervognano, with careful attention to optimal ripeness and grape quality.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hill of Cervognano, at about 300 m above sea level, on alluvial, sandy, well‑drained soils, with thermal breezes that create a microclimate favorable to quality viticulture. The site faces the Valdichiana.
