Vitiano Rosso Umbria IGP from Falesco presents a simple yet well-defined profile: in the glass it shows a medium ruby color and offers aromas of ripe red fruits, a slight spicy note and a herbaceous hint that keeps the sip honest. Balance is one of its strengths: fresh acidity and soft tannins support a medium body, making the wine immediate but not trivial. The flavor texture is straightforward, with fruity returns and a pleasant persistence that invites a second glass without weighing you down.

On the palate Vitiano Rosso favors pleasure over virtuosity, showing easy drinkability and a modest structure that makes it versatile at the table; it pairs naturally with flavorful first courses, grilled meats and aged cheeses that are not overly intense. Ideal to enjoy young, it should be served at around 16–18 °C to highlight freshness and aromaticity. A daily companion for those looking for an accessible, clean and down-to-earth Umbrian red.

Founded by Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella, with a focus on rediscovering the indigenous grape varieties of Alto Lazio. Iconic wine: Est! Est! Est! di Montefiascone. Lines based on two distinct terroirs: the "Latium Line" and the Umbria line. Large-scale production. The brand is part of the Famiglia Cotarella group, undergoing a generational transition to the next generation.
Winery history
The winery was founded by brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella with the aim of restoring the historic vineyards of Alto Lazio and developing a modern winemaking project. Over time the business has expanded with vineyards and operational facilities between Montefiascone and Montecchio, giving rise to the group now also identified by the Famiglia Cotarella brand.
Production philosophy
Research and enhancement of the local heritage, combined with the use of modern winery technology: production balances a focus on native varieties with the use of international grape varieties for some flagship wines.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are spread across the area between Lake Bolsena, Montefiascone and Montecchio/Orvieto; the estate operates on land located on the border between Lazio and Umbria.
