Wenneker Genever Oude Proever is a celebration of the Dutch tradition in the distillation of genever, one of the oldest and most admired spirits of the Netherlands. This 100cl bottle contains an "oude" (old) genever that faithfully follows classic production techniques, including distillation from a malt base and a meticulous selection of herbs and spices.
The result is a robust and rich character genever, with a surprising smoothness on the palate despite its aromatic complexity. Tasters will immediately notice the notes of whole grains and malt, followed by juniper shades and a hint of wood due to its aging in oak barrels. The finish is long and slightly spicy, with a lingering aftertaste that invites another sip.
