Production method

For genever, primary distillates obtained from grains and malt spirit are used, with the main distillate (containing a range of spices) infused in a pot still for several days; the final distillate is blended with malt spirit, grain alcohol and water. Some products (e.g., gin) are produced by assembling multiple botanical distillates in small batches.

Wenneker's company history dates back to 16 February 1693. Over the centuries ownership passed to the Wenneker family and later to the Van der Tuijn family (first half of the 20th century). The company moved production from Schiedam to Roosendaal in 1967 and, over time, absorbed other historic businesses in the sector before focusing activity on the Wenneker brand and export.
