The ancient Clyneslish distillery was born in the fascinating Scottish Highlands in 1819; its history was a bit troubled until it was bought by Diageo, a company interested in quality spirits to produce their own blends.

This 14-year-old whiskey turns out to be one of the few single malts still produced by the distillery, and is therefore a really interesting niche product.

In the glass it shows a brilliant pale straw yellow color. Intense fruity aromas rise to the nose, with sweet notes of vanilla and hints of citrus and dried fruit. With the note returned light but present; the taste is surprisingly velvety.

An ideal whiskey also for those who are approaching the world of Scottish single malts for the first time, lowering the alcohol content with a drop of water, in order to appreciate it to the fullest.
