Glen Spey 2009 15 YO by Gordon & MacPhail is a single malt that combines delicacy and precision. On the nose there are white-fleshed fruits, a faint sweetness of honey and vanilla and floral hints that make the profile luminous; the whole remains balanced and refined, without exuberance, a testament to its calm maturation. It naturally balances softness and freshness, with a restrained expressiveness that invites further sips, revealing new nuances over time.

On the palate it is smooth and well-bodied: ripe fruit gives way to citrus notes and a light spiciness that underlines the structure, while the finish is warm and persistent with biscuity echoes and a slightly saline sensation. It is enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open the aromas, served at room temperature; it pairs well with dark chocolate, dried fruit and aged cheeses and is ideal for a quiet tasting moment or as a digestif when you want a contemplative sip.
