This Heavily Peated from Loch Lomond presents a bold, well-balanced profile: immediate peat smoke, but not exclusive, woven with notes of toasted malt and delicate vanilla. The overall impression stays clean, with a balsamic hint and a subtle salinity that evokes sea breeze; fine ash and a light dried-fruit underpinning also emerge, softening the picture. The smoke supports the aromas without overpowering them, adding complexity without weighing it down.

On the palate the sip is full and enveloping, with an oily texture and balanced warmth that carries the smoke to a savory, persistent finish. The lingering finish recalls sweet spices, dark wood and a touch of bitter chocolate, while the structure maintains good freshness. It lends itself to being enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up the nuances; excellent with aged cheeses, smoked meats or a square of dark chocolate.
