Laphroaig 10Yo Whisky is an iconic distillate coming directly from the Isle of Islay, in Scotland, renowned for producing whisky with a strong and distinctive character. Known for its bold and penetrating flavor, this single malt is distinguished by intense smokiness and briny notes that reflect the coastal terrain where it is produced.

Laphroaig 10Yo is aged for ten years in selected barrels that contribute to giving the whisky a rich and complex flavor. On the nose, it offers vigorous aromas of smoky peat, with an undertone of vanilla and malt, interwoven with hints of seaweed and iodine, typical of Islay whiskies.

On the palate, Laphroaig 10Yo is full-bodied and oily. The enveloping flavor of peat smoke blends with a moderate sweetness of licorice and a slight nuance of burnt wood. Notes of dark chocolate and coffee emerge slowly, culminating in a long and persistent finish that leaves a slightly salty aftertaste with a hint of spices.

Perfect to be enjoyed neat or with a little water to enhance its many facets, Laphroaig 10Yo is ideal for lovers of robust and characteristic whiskies. It is a specimen that should not be missing in a connoisseur's collection, representing a true expression of the tradition and terroir of Islay. This whisky is particularly appreciated for special moments or as a gift for enthusiasts of high-quality spirits.

Laphroaig is a historic producer of single malt Scotch whiskies founded on the southern coast of Islay. It is known for the strongly peaty and maritime character of its whiskies, achieved by barley malt smoked with local peat and the fresh water from the Kilbride Stream.

Distillation

Double distillation in copper pot stills (pot still); the plant comprises seven stills (3 wash, 4 spirit) with high lyne arms and cut points designed to preserve tarry and maritime notes.

Ageing

Maturation in oak casks in coastal warehouses; seasonal variation (expansion in summer, contraction in winter) promotes interaction between wood and spirit. Frequent use of ex-bourbon for the base with finishes or re-racking in different wood types for specific expressions.
