Laphroaig Four Oak Whisky is an unmistakable spirit hailing directly from the historic island of Islay, in Scotland. Notoriously appreciated by whisky connoisseurs for its distinctive character and the richness of its flavors, Four Oak is a unique expression created through the use of four different types of casks: American oak used for bourbon, European oaks that contained sherry, toasted American oak barrels, and finally new American oak barrels.
This complex maturation process imparts deep and enveloping notes to this whisky. On the nose, peat, chocolate, and vanilla aromas stand out, while on the palate a rich array of flavors comes into play, including notes of dried fruit, spices, and a persistent smoky accent. The finish is long and decidedly marine, with a hint of sweetness that balances the robust presence of peat.
Presented in an elegant gift box, Laphroaig Four Oak is an ideal option for a special gift, capable of satisfying even the most discerning palates of whisky lovers.

Distillation
Double distillation in copper pot stills (pot still); the plant comprises seven stills (3 wash, 4 spirit) with high lyne arms and cut points designed to preserve tarry and maritime notes.
Ageing
Maturation in oak casks in coastal warehouses; seasonal variation (expansion in summer, contraction in winter) promotes interaction between wood and spirit. Frequent use of ex-bourbon for the base with finishes or re-racking in different wood types for specific expressions.
