This whisky, finished in casks that once held sake, shows a gentle, measured character: on the nose there are aromas of cooked rice and white flowers, supported by warm notes of vanilla and faint honey, with a slight umami hint that distinguishes it without overpowering. The structure is soft, the balance between sweetness and freshness is well judged; the sip runs clean, with a silky texture that invites a second tasting.

On the palate it confirms its subtle yet present nature, offering delicate savoriness and a persistent finish, slightly spicy and of good length. It is well suited to be enjoyed neat or with a small splash of water to open its aromas; as a pairing it sits comfortably alongside sashimi and fish dishes, fresh cheeses, or lightly sweet rice-based desserts. A bottle that seeks elegance more than power, ideal for those who enjoy sipping subtle details and contrasts.
