The Big Peat Winter Edition 2025 immediately stands out for its bold character: a warm, earthy smoke reminiscent of burnt peat and sea salt, balanced by a sweet malt texture and a hint of winter honey. On the nose there are nuances of ash, bark and citrus peel, but the profile remains dry, compact and direct, crafted for those who value the honesty of the sip more than gimmicks.

The palate delivers on that promise: smoke accompanies a full body, the alcoholic warmth is well measured and gives way to savory, slightly medicinal notes that prolong the finish. The aftertaste is persistent, with returns of sweet tobacco and bergamot peel. Perfect neat or with a few drops of water to open up its tones; pairs with aged cheeses, dark chocolate or smoked dishes. The bottle, housed in the presentation box, is an elegant idea for gifting or for display in your winter collection.
