Production method
Blue Weber agave plants are hand-harvested by jimadores; the piñas are processed and fermented, and the distillate is generally subjected to double distillation in copper pot stills. Aged expressions are matured in oak barrels (typically new American and French oak).

Double distillation in copper pot stills
Ageing
For aged expressions: use of new American and French oak barrels; Reposado is matured for at least 6 months, Añejo for over one year; some Extra Añejo (Milenio) exceed 3 years and may include finishes in Cognac casks.
Producer history 1800
The 1800 brand was launched as a premium label in 1967; the name refers to the year when tequila was first aged in wooden barrels. The brand's history is presented as part of a family tradition that the official site links to many generations of tequila production and to the brand's values (work, passion, honesty).
Production philosophy
Focused on taste quality, 1800 declares the exclusive use of 100% hand‑harvested Blue Weber agave and a careful process covering all stages from the piña to the finished product. The brand positions itself as committed to pursuing the 'best taste' and safeguarding the practices and communities associated with tequila.
