Domenis1898

The Domenis family started the business in 1898 in Cividale del Friuli; Pietro Domenis is cited as the founder. Throughout the 20th century the company evolved technically and expanded its market presence. The Storica brand was created in the 1980s (1986) and, for the centenary, benchmark products such as Storica Nera (1998) and the Secolo grappa were introduced; in 1999 an organic line (and kosher products) was launched. In subsequent years Domenis broadened its range to include gin and liqueurs while maintaining a focus on high-quality grappa and modernizing equipment and processes.

To unite local tradition and quality research: enhance local raw materials, respect and refine handed-down processes, and offer a range spanning traditional grappa to premium and experimental products, with attention to certifications such as organic.

Headquarters and production in Cividale del Friuli (Udine), Colli Orientali del Friuli, Natisone valley — the Friuli‑Venezia Giulia area with strong ties to local winemaking tradition and typical regional herbs.
