Producer history Don Papa

Don Papa was launched as a brand by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the initiative of Stephen Carroll; its commercial debut dates to 2012. The brand name and imagery draw on the historical figure Papa Isio, a local leader on the island of Negros. In January 2023 Diageo announced the acquisition of the brand, marking its entry into the portfolio of a major international group.
