Producer history Habitation Velier

Habitation Velier was launched as a line dedicated to showcasing rums in their purest form to highlight stylistic differences of pot still distillation. The project began as Velier's initiative to present "Pure Single Rum" and, since the creation of the La Maison & Velier joint-venture (2017), bottles in the series have been promoted and distributed internationally through that network. Releases are generally limited editions, often produced in direct collaboration with well-known distilleries.

Production philosophy

Maximum transparency and respect for the distillate: bottles focused on pot still single-distillery expressions, labels that report technical details (brands, distillation date, sometimes congeners/ester indicators), cask-strength or high-proof bottlings, and no systematic use of added sugars, colorants or flavorings.

Territory

An international project with selections coming mainly from the Caribbean (e.g. Jamaica, Barbados, Haiti, Grenada) and other regions of the world; bottling and commercial management are based in Italy via Velier/La Maison & Velier.
