The story
Heering was founded in 1818 in Copenhagen by Peter F. Heering, who began producing a cherry-based liqueur using a family recipe. Over the centuries the product gained international distribution and became a staple in major bars worldwide. In 2017 the Cherry Heering brand was acquired by De Kuyper Royal Distillers, which currently manages its portfolio and distribution.
Production philosophy
The brand emphasizes heritage, craftsmanship and the use of natural ingredients: Heering states it produces its liqueur with real cherries and botanicals, following the traditional family recipe to achieve a rich, recognisable flavor suitable both for neat drinking and as a cocktail ingredient.
