The story
The product's history began in the late 1970s (started in 1978) and the brand was commercially launched in the early 1980s. Over time the recipe and range expanded with various flavours and formats. Since 2005 the brand has been part of the Pernod Ricard group. Historically the rum used was linked to a beach distillery in Barbados; today blending and bottling take place mainly in Canada, with some production also in the United States and Spain.
