Geschichte des Weinguts Tenuta Bocca di Lupo

Das Projekt Tenuta Bocca di Lupo entstand als Initiative von Tormaresca, um die autochthonen Rebsorten Apuliens wiederzuentdecken und aufzuwerten. Auf der Firmenwebsite heißt es, dass das Projekt 1998 gestartet wurde und sich im Laufe der Jahre zu einem Bezugspunkt in der Region Castel del Monte entwickelt hat.

Produktionsphilosophie

Das Unternehmen setzt auf die biologische Bewirtschaftung der Weinberge und auf eine terroirbezogene Betrachtung der Rebsorten: Ziel ist es, zeitgemäße Interpretationen lokaler Rebsorten und Winzerselektionen anzubieten, wobei die Produktion auf der Qualität des Terroirs und auf nachhaltigen Anbaupraktiken basiert.

Terroir und Weinberge

Das Weingut liegt in der Murgia, in der Umgebung von Minervino Murge, im Gebiet DOC di Castel del Monte. Die Weinberge wachsen auf kalkhaltigen, nährstoffarmen Böden in einer Höhe von rund 250–300 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel; die Landschaft ist geprägt von klimatischen und pedologischen Bedingungen, die elegante, klar definierte Weine begünstigen.
