The Amarone della Valpolicella Punta 470 DOCG produced by the renowned winery Cà Rugate is a premium expression of this famous Italian red wine. Originating from the Veneto region, this wine is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes, mainly Corvina, Rondinella, and Corvinone. The uniqueness of this Amarone lies in its drying process, where the grapes are dried for several months to concentrate sugars and aromas, giving the wine extraordinary intensity and complexity.

The color is a deep ruby red with garnet nuances that testify to its maturation. On the nose, the Amarone della Valpolicella Punta 470 opens with a rich and enveloping bouquet of ripe red fruits like cherries and plums, enhanced by notes of sweet spices, chocolate, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, the wine reveals a powerful yet balanced structure, with silky tannins and a persistently velvety sensation. The aromatic complexity is expressed through flavors of dried fruit, vanilla, and light balsamic notes, which weave together in a long and satisfying finish.

Ideal for pairing with richly flavored dishes such as braised meats, stews, and aged cheeses, Amarone Punta 470 is also perfect as a meditation wine. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 18°C to fully appreciate its aromatic richness.

This Amarone della Valpolicella by Cà Rugate is not just a wine, but a true oenological experience that reflects the art and tradition of Italian viticulture. A masterpiece to be savored on special occasions or to be gifted to lovers of robust and intense wines.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
