The Barbera Freisa Piemonte DOC from Vajra shows a clear varietal profile, being the result of a blend of Barbera and Freisa under the Piemonte DOC designation. In the glass it offers an intense ruby color with violet highlights; on the nose there are notes of red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by light spicy hints and a floral violet-tinged note. The overall impression is balanced and not heavy, with moderate tannins that support the structure without weighing it down.

On the palate the wine displays the fresh acidity typical of Barbera and a liveliness that Freisa can help sustain, yielding a dynamic, easy-drinking sip. Its sapidity and persistence make it suitable with regional dishes and tomato-based preparations, white meats or mildly cured cold cuts; it benefits from being served slightly chilled to enhance drinkability. Recommended to enjoy within a few years to appreciate its varietal vivacity.
