The Barolo DOCG Lazzarito from Boasso Franco is an authentic expression of the Piedmontese terroir, sourced from the renowned vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba. This wine, carefully produced by Boasso Franco winery, a small family-run business with a long winemaking tradition, encapsulates all the character of one of the most prestigious Barolo crus.

With a maturation of 24 months in oak barrels and subsequent refinement in the bottle, the Barolo Lazzarito displays a deep garnet red color with reflections that tend to turn orange with aging. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of ripe fruit such as cherry and plum, followed by hints of tobacco, leather, and light spicy notes of vanilla and pepper.

On the palate, the wine is powerful yet harmonious, with well-structured tannins and a long persistence that gives way to an aromatic complexity reminiscent of licorice and cocoa. It is a wine that promises excellent aging potential.

Perfect for accompanying robust dishes such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Barolo DOCG Lazzarito from Boasso Franco is the ideal wine for those seeking an intense sensory experience rich in tradition.

Winery history
The family estate was founded in the immediate post‑war period, and from the 1970s the Boasso family began vinifying part of their grapes rather than selling them. Today the estate is run by Franco and his sons Ezio and Claudio, who manage the vineyards and hospitality.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir and the traditions of the Langhe: traditional winemaking with long macerations, aging in large casks, and careful attention to grape quality for structured wines suitable for aging.
Terroir and vineyards
