Winery history
The estate's winemaking dates back to the 19th century, evidenced by old cellars beneath the square and the family building in Campomarino. Commitment to grape growing was inherited by Luigi and then Alessio Di Majo; the vineyards occupy the ancient fief of the Marquises Norante di Santa Cristina (about 123 ha).
Production philosophy
Traditional approach aimed at preserving the characteristics of Mediterranean winemaking. Biorganic/organic practices, low yields, manual grape selection and use of modern cellar technology; some wines are aged in barriques and tonneaux.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Campomarino (province of Campobasso), north of the Gargano promontory. Loose, partly sandy soils and summer breezes favorable to viticulture. Main estates: Camarda (alt. 200 m), Cocciolete (alt. 100 m), Ramitelli (alt. 100 m).
