Carlo Hauner's Iacura Bianco PGI Terre Siciliane is a refined expression of the native Sicilian vine, which stands out for its freshness and aromaticity. Produced in the fertile lands of the island, this white wine reflects Carlo Hauner's passion for exploring the expressive potential of local vines, enriched by the unique microclimate and richness of Sicily's volcanic soils.

The Carlo Hauner winery, renowned for its dedication to quality and innovation, uses sustainable cultivation methods that respect the environment and enhance the varietal characteristics of the grapes. Iacura Bianco is the result of a scrupulous selection of grapes, harvested at the optimal point of ripeness to guarantee the perfect balance between acidity and aroma.

Wine Profile: Visually, Iacura Bianco has a light straw yellow color, embellished with greenish reflections that underline its freshness. On the nose, it opens with an exuberant and inviting bouquet, dominated by notes of white pulp fruit, such as peach and pear, enriched by floral nuances and a hint of minerality, which refers to the volcanic origin of the area.

In the mouth, the wine expresses extraordinary liveliness, with a crisp acidity that perfectly balances its structure. The fruity and floral flavors perceived on the nose are repeated in a harmonious and persistent palate, culminating in a refreshing and clean finish, which invites another sip.

Gastronomic Pairings: Carlo Hauner's Iacura Bianco PGI Terre Siciliane is extremely versatile at the table, capable of elegantly accompanying a vast range of dishes. It pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish and seafood dishes, summer salads and fresh cheeses. Its freshness also makes it an ideal companion for Mediterranean and Asian cuisine dishes, where its aromatic notes can expertly contrast the spiciness.

This Sicilian white wine represents a testimony to Carlo Hauner's ability to interpret the Sicilian territory in a modern key, offering wine lovers a highly pleasant and drinkable product, which invites them to discover the oenological riches of the island.

Winery history
The winery is named after Carlo Hauner, a Brescian artist who in the 1960s moved to Salina and began cultivating and restoring abandoned terraces. The winery's official history begins in 1968; Hauner renewed vineyards and local practices, also experimenting with techniques such as grape drying and fermentation control. The modern winery was built in the 1980s in Lingua. After the founder's death in 1996, management passed to the next generation, which has maintained a focus on Malvasia and local identity; the company website reports a significant production of Malvasia, with about 50,000 bottles cited for this wine.
Production philosophy
Production is based on recovering the local viticultural heritage and on integrating tradition and innovation: adherence to Aeolian practices combined with modern winemaking controls. The winery emphasizes its island origin, the artisanal care of its wines and its visual identity: many labels reproduce works by Carlo Hauner himself. The winery also produces other typical local products, such as capers from Salina.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located on the island of Salina in the Aeolian Islands. The vineyards are cultivated on terraces carved into the volcanic rock; the Mediterranean climate and maritime influence, together with volcanic soils, contribute to the mineral and aromatic character of the wines, particularly the Malvasia delle Lipari.
