The Nus Malvoisie DOC "La Griffe des Lions" by La Crotta di Vegneron represents a fine selection of Malvoisie, or Pinot Grigio, grown in the unique climatic and geological conditions of the Aosta Valley, a mountainous region in northern Italy. This wine, produced by the La Crotta di Vegneron wine cooperative, which combines the forces of numerous small winemakers in the region, is a tribute to the richness of the Aosta Valley terroir and the local winemaking tradition, which knows how to enhance native and international vines in an Alpine context.

"La Griffe des Lions" is an expression of the Malvoisie grape variety in its purest and most intense form, benefiting from the particular characteristics of the soil and microclimate of the Nus area, which give the wine a marked minerality and a distinctive aromatic complexity. The vinification is carefully controlled to preserve the varietal aromas and freshness of the wine, while a possible short aging in wood can add depth without overpowering the fruity and floral essence of the grape variety.

Visually, "La Griffe des Lions" presents itself with a lively straw yellow colour, illuminated by greenish reflections which highlight its freshness. On the nose, the wine offers a rich and complex aromatic bouquet, with dominant notes of white pulp fruit, such as pear and apple, complemented by floral nuances and a touch of aromatic herbs and minerals, which together create an inviting and seductive olfactory profile .

In the mouth, Nus Malvoisie DOC reveals a balanced and harmonious structure, with a well-integrated acidity that supports its liveliness and cleanliness. The flavors of fresh fruit blend perfectly with mineral and vegetal elements, characteristic of the terroir of origin, leading to a long and persistent finish, which invites you to take a new sip.

Ideal as an aperitif, "La Griffe des Lions" pairs beautifully with light and delicate dishes, such as seafood appetizers, fish-based first courses and fresh cheeses. Its versatility also makes it suitable for accompanying traditional Aosta Valley cuisine and international dishes, where it can enhance the flavors of the food without overpowering it.

In conclusion, the Nus Malvoisie DOC "La Griffe des Lions" by La Crotta di Vegneron is a testimony to the excellence of the Malvoisie grape variety in the Aosta Valley, offering a tasting experience that celebrates freshness, minerality and aromatic complexity, fruit of the interaction between grape variety, terroir and the expert hand of the winemakers and oenologists of La Crotta di Vegneron.
