The Verdicchio di Matelica DOC Monacesca, produced by Monacesca, offers a measured and recognizable aromatic profile. On the nose there are notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and white flowers, with a slight bitter almond hint that aligns with the variety. On the palate the wine shows good acidity balanced by a medium body, a saline element that supports drinkability and a finish of modest persistence. The structure remains restrained and suitable for versatile consumption, without reference to specific cellar techniques or ageing.

It pairs easily with light seafood dishes, shellfish, fish antipasti and vegetable soups; it also suits fresh cheeses and gently seasoned preparations. Serve chilled, around 8–10 °C, to highlight freshness and aromatic expression. When stored correctly it retains its qualities for a few years, though its expression is best appreciated in the short term.

Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Upper Esino Valley (Matelica area). Predominantly clay and calcareous fossil soils; continental climate with Mediterranean sun; vineyards around 400 m asl giving the local Verdicchio acidity, freshness and minerality.
