The Cabernet Sauvignon from Tenuta Luisa represents a wonderful example of the capacity of this international grape variety to adapt and express itself beautifully in the fertile Italian terroir. Coming from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, these grapes are processed using methods that emphasize both innovation and tradition, to produce a wine that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in the history of Italian wine.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished by its intense color, a deep ruby red that anticipates its olfactory complexity. On the nose, the wine unfolds a vibrant bouquet of berries, especially notes of currants and blueberries, mixed with more herbaceous nuances and a light spicy touch. This is all enhanced by a subtle vein of oak, a result of careful aging in barriques.

On the palate, the wine is robust yet balanced, with well-structured tannins that promise good longevity. The acidity is lively, typical of wines from the region, which helps to keep the wine fresh and dynamic. The finish is persistent, with an aftertaste that recalls the spices and woody notes mentioned on the nose.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal for pairing with hearty dishes such as roasts of meat, game, or aged cheeses. It is also a wine that can benefit from a few years of aging in the cellar, developing further subtleties of taste and complexity.

Tenuta Luisa, with its dedication to quality and continuous innovation, offers with this Cabernet Sauvignon a rich and memorable winemaking experience, ideal for wine lovers in search of distinctive and high-quality Italian labels.

Winery history
A family history that began with the purchase of the first plots by Francesco Luisa in the early 20th century. The estate has grown over several generations with documented milestones: expansion of the vineyards, construction of a new winery in the 1990s, and the launch of premium lines such as "I Ferretti" and "Millésimée". The estate's website records the first purchase of 5 hectares in 1907 and progressive growth to more than 100 hectares today.
Production philosophy
Vineyard-to-glass approach: quality that originates in the vineyard through low yields, high planting density and targeted treatments. In the winery, intervention is limited and aging is carefully managed for the selections. The winery also declares a commitment to environmental sustainability, with practices that have received recognitions and certifications as noted in the sources.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the plain between Collio and Carso, within the DOC Friuli Isonzo. Soils consist of mixed gravel and decalcified limestone with clayey sections. Approximate elevation 35–50 m above sea level. The climate is influenced by the Bora and Scirocco, with diurnal temperature variations that favour aromatic ripening.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international recognitions: among the highlighted awards are Tre Bicchieri for certain vintages of the "I Ferretti" selection, medals at international competitions, and various scores from guides and critics.
