Winery history Camigliano

The village of Camigliano has ancient origins and today is home to the eponymous winery. The estate was purchased by the Ghezzi family in 1957 and in the following years, thanks to the commitment of the next generation, vineyards and production facilities were renewed, an underground cellar integrated into the landscape was built, and the estate’s wine production was expanded.

Production philosophy

Approach focused on enhancing the terroir: conversion to organic viticulture, targeted agronomic interventions, hand harvesting and cellar techniques that prioritize minimal intervention. The stated objective is to express the typicity of the terroir through sustainable methods.

Terroir and vineyards

Situated on the western side of Montalcino, the estate includes the historic village and vineyards spread across hills rising to around 300–350 metres above sea level. The property overlooks the Ombrone valley and is characterised by soils typical of the Montalcino area.
