Winery history Conterno Fantino

Founded in 1982 from the union of the Conterno and Fantino families (including Claudio Conterno and Guido Fantino). The estate manages roughly 23 hectares and has an annual production of about 125,000–140,000 bottles. The first bottled Barolo vintage dates to 1982. The "Ginestrino" label is documented in the winery technical sheet (approx. 35,000 bottles for that bottling).

Production philosophy

The philosophy is to highlight the identity of individual crus and the territory through careful vineyard work, hand harvesting and vinification aimed at preserving fruit. The cellar practices modern choices (relatively short macerations, selective use of French barriques) to pursue elegance, freshness and expressive precision. Some of the estate's Barolos are certified as products of organic agriculture.

Terroir and vineyards
