Winery history Tenuta La Rocca

Tenuta La Rocca is a vineyard located in Monterotondo, in the Gavi area. Cantine Coppo has managed Tenuta La Rocca since the mid-1980s and uses the parcel’s Cortese grapes for the eponymous Gavi DOCG La Rocca. The appellation’s technical specifications indicate manual harvesting and vinification aimed at preserving freshness and minerality.

Production philosophy

Focus on showcasing the Cortese grape and the terroir: hand-selected harvest, gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature to enhance freshness, fruity aromatics and the mineral notes derived from the marly-calcareous soils.

Terroir and vineyards

Produced in the Monterotondo di Gavi area. Marly-calcareous soils; south / southeast / southwest exposures; altitude around 1,050 ft above sea level. The terroir imparts a distinctive mineral note to the wine.
